August 13, 2021 • OPEN HOUSE • Poetry Slam

$0.00
Sold Out

Friday, August 13, 8:00pm

NOTE: Online preregistration to participate is closed, but you can still sign up in person at the event.

Please join us for the Open House Poetry Slam hosted by Jared Morningstar. The community is invited to participate! Come and read some of your original poetry or a published poem (maybe one of Roethke’s), bring your friends and family, support local writers!

Register here to put your name on the list to read or to reserve a seat and cheer on your favorite poet. Registration will help us with planning, but you may simply show up the night-of and we will add you to the list of readers. Arrive early to be sure you can get on the list!

Poetry should be suitable for a high school and older audience. The host will manage the reader queue, may limit reading times, and has final say over all aspects of the slam. If you have questions about participation, please email info@friendsofroethke.org.

Arrive early to take a historic tour or visit our pop-up library!

Part of the Open House 2021 event, free and open to the public. Historic house tours will run every half hour from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and the Poetry Slam begins at 8:00pm. Outdoor. Reservations are NOT required, but this will help us with our planning. Donations gladly accepted.
