Reserve a seat for "The Earth's Still Breathing,” a poetry reading featuring Michigan native Donny Winter who will read from his new book, Carbon Footprint. Winter is an LGBTQ+ poet, educator, and activist residing in Saginaw, Michigan. In addition to writing, he teaches poetry at Delta College and composition at Saginaw Valley State University. His first full-length collection published by Alien Buddha Press, Carbon Footprint, immediately debuted at #1 on Amazon's New Release List under the Gay & Lesbian Poetry category. Winter's poetry discusses LGBTQ+ topics inspired by his experiences living in rural Michigan. Additionally, he weaves together narratives about trauma survival and eco-awareness throughout his work.

Arrive early to take a historic tour or visit our pop-up library!

Part of the Open House 2021 event, free and open to the public. Historic house tours will run every half hour from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, and Winter begins at 8:00pm. Outdoor. Reservations are NOT required, but this will help us with our planning. Donations gladly accepted.
