Summer Writing Club

$0.00

We are starting our Summer Writing Club on Monday, July 8 and we'll meet at the Roethke House each Monday in July and August. Like last year, the idea is to carve out a space for ourselves to make progress on our current writing projects. How do you know if this group is for you?

  • If you've got a writing project that needs a little jump start, this might be for you.

  • If you need encouragement and accountability from other writers, this might be for you.

  • If you feel more productive when you're near other writers writing in a quiet space, this might be for you.

If you’d like to be on Sherrin’s notification/reminder list, please sign up here. If we ever have to cancel a meeting, or if there are materials we want to share among members, she’ll use this list to send updates.

Please note, the Summer Writing Club is a Friends of Roethke member benefit, but you're welcome to bring a friend with you! There’s no need to register, and you are not obligated to attend every meeting. This is a free program.

Meeting dates: July 8, 15, 22, 29, & August 5, 12, 19, 26.

Here's our format:

  • We open the doors at 6:30.

  • Optional: Arrive a little early and, if you choose, state your intentions (tell us what you plan to get done).

  • From 7 to 8, we "shut up and write." We stop at 8

  • Optional: If you choose, stick around and share what you just did. We close the doors and go home at 8:30.

VIRTUAL: I'm looking for a volunteer to help organize an online version of the writing club. If you're interested in participating or possibly leading this, please email me. Let's talk!
